Laurence Curtiss - Managing Director
Simon and I set up ScottAdam Systems over 12 years ago as we'd had enough of working for other people and thought we could do a better job on our own. I lost the toss and become Managing Director!! I specialise on the Access Accounts side and am closely involved with all our customers. I always prefer to spend time with them rather than back at the office, but someone has to do the 'admin'. I'm married with 2 boys - Scott and Adam, so I don’t have any spare time. Although I do occasionally sneak off to watch Spurs.
Simon Atkins - Technical Director
When Laurence suggested we set up this business the deal was that he did the admin while I got to play with the computers. Its fair to say that I’m still the techie geek! The great thing about technology is that its evolving all the time and our ability to provide fully customised solutions to our clients’ problems is what interests me the most.
Simon Morgan - IT Support Manager
I joined ScottAdam 5 years ago as a junior engineer and have enjoyed developing my skills as the company has grown. I’m involved in all aspects of IT, be it hardware or software support. IT is my passion and I am always looking for new and challenging aspects of it. I can usually be found with my head in a server or crawling under desks looking for that elusive cable that is causing all the problems!
Jordan Lovelock - IT Support Engineer
This was my first job after leaving school 2 years ago. I work very closely with ‘young’ Simon and am now the first point of contact for our clients. This is usually via telephone, email or remote support but I regularly visit our clients on site. I’m also involved in IT hardware which includes building desktop PCs and servers or just fixing hardware related problems. When I’m not in the office I’m either in the gym or playing the sport I love, basketball, for many hours of the day.
Daniel Agasee - Access Accounts Specialist
I joined ScottAdam in 1999 after 13 years hard labour in an accountancy practice, where I gained a considerable experience doing accounts and tax work for all types of businesses from sole traders to PLCs. I also ended up looking after their computer network which gave me the perfect background for my role at ScottAdam. I have a good understanding of how businesses ‘really’ work after helping my father to run his. I generally try and stay out of the office, especially when the weather’s nice, unless the company chocolate stash has just been replenished! Obviously, having to offset the effects of excess chocolate consumption, I do try and get some exercise, namely tennis, squash and cycling…though you could never tell.
Ben Leighton - Software Developer
In the past I have been responsible for developing bespoke back office business solutions so my experience enables me to adapt Access Accounts and other software packages to the requirements of individual businesses - every organisation is slightly different. When I’m not working I like to spend time with my children.
Julie Nedza - Project Manager
I first met ScottAdam Systems over 6 years ago when I was project managing the implementation of an accounting system for one of my clients. ScottAdam was the supplier. After working with them on a number of projects I finally decided to swap sides. Now I ensure that our clients get the service and feedback that I always expected. Prior to ScottAdam I worked in a variety of finance roles including finance director so I have a good understanding of the issues FDs have to grapple with and enjoy helping them to find practical solutions to their problems. When not in the office you can probably find me on the golf course or, if I’m really lucky, travelling to far off lands!
